The MiZuJo House

Designed for an architect couple, this 850 sft. two bedroom home has been a long time in the making due to the redevelopment process of the building in which it's located. The home was designed as a container for all the objects, artwork and memories collected over years of travel and sojourns abroad.

The home is designed around the idea of space, light and color brought together in harmony. All three elements were choreographed with the least civil changes due to timeline constraints. The interventions were kept to a minimum with carpentry making up the bulk of the work. Few existing pieces of heirloom furniture were up-cycled and repurposed to give them a new lease of life in alignment with the couple's goals of sustainable and minimal living.
