This 900 sft. home for a family of three located in the western suburbs of Bombay began as a wish by the clients to develop their long standing interest in botany and urban gardening.
The three bedroom apartment located in a high rise development came with its limitations of being tight on space and with no balconies. So our design focusses on bringing in elements of the outside through plants, specific botanical prints and the use of artwork which reference landscapes and nature.
The rooms are designed to fit the personalities of the family members with the son's room dressed in his favorite shades of blue with art that speaks of his interests in books and travel. The parent's room has shades of a soothing mauve that threads the different elements of the room together into one cohesive, comfortable space. The living and dining space become the hearth of the home allowing the clients to entertain to their heart's content without feeling the pinch of space.
