The interior renovation of a ground plus two-storey independent residential bungalow in Gurgaon involved working around a cast of existing room organizations and finishes that were characteristic of a house built a few decades ago.

The brief involved creating a uniform aesthetic throughout the home while opening up bedroom and living spaces to the garden area and bringing more natural light into the multi-level home. Finishes and materials were updated to more modern and minimal alternatives and the look of the house was toned to suit a contemporary aesthetic.

The images below show the existing spaces in the home alongside the proposed design.
