A 1550 sft. home with a generous 280 sft. brightly lit terrace was the starting point for this project. The conversation started early in 2018 with an inquiry to design a smaller 2 bedroom home in Pune itself but that did not work out due to covid. Then post covid, the then clients (and now friends) got  in touch with us to design this larger space which was to be their forever home.

The clients wanted to convert the apartment into a space that could accommodate the needs of both the groups of inhabitants with a limited amount of civil work to be carried out with a large amount of built-in and loose carpentry. 

The wall between the kitchen and the dining space was demolished to make space for an open bar and kitchen which would function as the heart of the home. The dining area was planned adjacent to the open bar to maintain a flow of space between the living, open kitchen and the dining space.
