A work-space and boutique for a fashion designer; the brief for the project required a flexible interior space that would provide respite from the cacophony of the city, an environment that the designer could retreat into, a space that would be her own when she needed privacy or public when she wanted to open it up to her clients by appointment.
The design response is to create flexible design elements that move to accommodate these different user requirements. Cabinetry units are placed on castor wheels so that they can be moved as required to create backdrops for photo shoots and can be rolled back to create lounging areas.
The space is finished in an all-white color palette to amplify its tiny volume with hints and pops of color and pattern to break the monotony and liven up the interior.
