A renovation of an existing pet supply store, pet spa and salon, Kalika was an exercise in transformation. The existing space was filled with puppy paraphernalia, bags full of pet food, bright colors and cheap laminate finishes which had to be completely torn down and the space had to be re-imagined as a store for lighting, home decor, furniture, clothing and accessories.

The entire re-designed space has a neutral and pleasant palette which allows the products to stand out. All existing walls and partitions were torn down and the space was expanded visually through the use of a single color floor which was contrasted by dark wood furniture and light colored wall finishes. All the electrical switching was concealed within built-in units which allowed flexibility without compromising the desired look and feel of the store.

 

A quick project completed within a span of 30 days from concept design to execution to handover along with branding, this was an exciting project for our studio.
